A message from our Chapter President
Dear SITE Northern California Chapter Members, Industry Partners and Friends,
As we approach the close of 2024, I find myself filled with pride and gratitude for what our SITE Northern California Chapter has achieved this year. When we relaunched as a chapter in January, we set out to reinvigorate our chapter with a renewed sense of purpose, passion, and connection. Together, with you, our members and community, along with our board - we not only succeeded in this endeavor, but we surpassed expectations, building a thriving, engaged community that reflects the very best of what incentive travel can achieve.
Our 2024 theme for the year, "SITE for the Senses," was brought to life in every event we hosted, with each one providing meaningful opportunities for our members to engage, learn, and connect. From Napa to Monterey, Sausalito to our highly anticipated event in November at Claremont Club & Spa, a Fairmont hotel, focused on the art of personalization, we have consistently delivered programs that resonate deeply with our community. These events have been a testament to the power of incentive travel to inspire, connect, and transform both personally and professionally. The overwhelming response from our members and the broader industry underscores the significance of what we’re building here in Northern California.
Our chapter has become a vibrant connector for thought leadership, showcasing the boundless possibilities of our industry. We have fostered innovation, cultivated relationships, and inspired important conversations about the evolving role of incentive travel. Our collective efforts have ensured that our chapter is not just following incentive travel trends but leading them, making an indelible mark and impact.
Looking ahead to next year 2025, I along with our chapter board are filled with optimism and excitement. The momentum we’ve built is undeniable, and with your continued support, we know that we will take SITE Northern California to even greater heights. Our Board has planned for a strategic planning retreat in December to prepare for our goals and plans in the new year. Next year promises new opportunities, fresh initiatives, and even more groundbreaking programs that will further solidify our chapter’s place as a leader in the incentive travel space.
On behalf of our dedicated Board of Directors, thank you for your commitment, energy, and enthusiasm. Your involvement and support are what makes this chapter so special. Let’s carry this incredible momentum forward, continuing to innovate, collaborate, and elevate our industry. Together, we will shape the future of incentive travel, creating lasting impacts for years to come.
With deep appreciation and excitement for the year ahead,
Gary Murakami, GTP, GLP, CMP, CMM, DES
